Biostar TZ77XE4 Motherboards Review
The UEFI BIOS is laid out well and easy to navigate but is rather basic as is T Overclocker. You really cannot do any overclocking through Windows with T Overclocker so the manual overclock within the bios will have to do for now. Overclocking takes a different turn. The Biostar TZ77XE4 Motherboards Review showed us some real overclocking prowess reaching 5.3GHz within 20 minutes with our Sandy Bridge 2600K.
Overall review
5.3GHz raises the plateau by 100MHz of any motherboard we dropped the 2600K into. The TZ77XE4 is certainly a firecracker for overclocking.
The steps Biostar has taken from even the Z68 motherboards represent positive change and change generally comes from the top. The few small details within the BIOS and TOverclock can surely evolve and Biostar is on the move. We loved every minute we had this board on the test bench and that is not always easy to say.

Features and Specs:
This board isn’t quite as feature-rich as others on the market, nor quite as refined. But for the more budget-oriented consumer with a price of $170, it’s a straightforward product that’s a real performance monster.
Biostar has been manufacturing motherboards for years, yet many enthusiasts prefer top-tier manufacturers. And while Biostar may not have been typically thought of as an enthusiast-caliber brand, today we have a surprise in store with Biostar’s newest release, the TZ77XE4 motherboard for Intel’s next-generation processors.
The look says it all, so let’s not waste any more time and get the newly designed TZ77XE4 on the test bench to see what overclocking prowess it has.
Summary
Biostar is not new on the block by no means in a very competitive motherboard market. They are known for producing some good overclocking boards but as of late, starting with the Z68 series, we saw a small change in their look. Today, Biostar seems to be sailing in the right direction with a totally revamped aesthetic and it is great.
If you want to enlighten yourself with other products of Biostar then you can check our other blog post which is on the Biostar Hi-Fi B85N-3D Motherboard.
From the packaging to the overall monochromatic aesthetics, the board shines. The overall layout of the board is tidy with plenty of room to spare running two graphics cards in SLI or Crossfire. I could not point out any real negatives here but the LED Debug indicator did not work. Surely, this is an isolated problem and I will leave it as a mention.
