EVGA Nu Audio is my Best Audio Experience Ever, CES 2019

When Sound isn’t Enough Loud will never impress me if it isn’t quality too. Apparently, EVGA has the same philosophy. Even though graphics cards are what we’ve come to expect, the company surprised us all with the Nu Audio card announcement at CES. As expected, the card excelled in quality. A large part of the reason behind this is the partnership with Audio Note.

Tunai Drum Earbuds (Quick) Review

Tunai asked if we could do a short review of the release of their earbuds and we obliged. The claims of better bass lived up to expectation and the earbuds had great quality across the full audio spectrum. The price is great for the quality and the comfort was top notch as well.

Rosewill EX-500 and EX-700 Earbuds Review

Earbuds can lack heavily in the bass department, but Rosewill found a way to excel with theirs. The EX-700 really shines, but the EX-500 isn't a slouch either. If you want high quality audio in a small package, these units will surprise you. The EX-500 isn't as comfortable though.

EpicGear Thunderouz and Melodiouz Gaming Headsets Review

You might think a company that isn't known for audio would have trouble making a great headset and you'd be wrong. EpicGear brings amazing additions to the market with the Thunderouz and Melodiouz. The former has a built in amplifier, great for bass and sound stage, while the Melodiouz has surprising audio for earbuds.

Filling the Loop: SENNHEISER Headsets, TAI-HAO Keycaps, AQUA COMPUTER cuplex kryos NEXT

As a hardware news and review writer, I find that it can be pretty difficult to keep up with everything happening in the industry. It could be that, or it could be the full time job with a family that crunches the schedule a bit. But that’s the life of a freelancer and I wouldn’t have it any other way! Still, there’s some good news worthy releases I’ve received that I’ve been dying to get out to you, but haven’t had the time until now. Let’s fill the loop on some interesting products from SENNHEISER, TAI-HAO and AQUA COMPUTER. I hate to admit it but I was deleting PRs from SENNHEISER because I didn’t realize they were different from the other spam emails I get. Let’s just say spam filters aren’t perfect and I check all of my promotional emails a bit closer now. Still, consistency is not an issue for them and I began noticing what I thought were some pretty impressive products. SENNHEISER deals in gaming headsets, but also has a host of other audio products to check out. For this update, I particularly want to point out the GSP 350 gaming headset with Dolby 7.1 Surround. While I can’t verify the audio quality, the design looks excellent and some user reviews I looked at indicate that the company generally has pretty good sound. Even then, there were a couple of features that looked interesting. One design detail I really like is the fact that the mic will automatically mute when you raise the boom, negating t...

STEELSERIES Siberia 350 Gaming Headset Review

Introduction We’re bringing STEELSERIES back to the forefront again, but this time we have a headset to review instead of a mouse and keyboard combo. Even though this company is new to PureOC, they impressed us with some excellent quality and exceptional software. However, sound is a completely different playing field compared to input peripherals. The Siberia 350 has a lot of competition to stand up against so we better take a long hard look at how it does in person. We’ll get right into it soon, after a quick word from the manufacturer. CREATIVE Sound BlasterX H5 Gaming Headset Review

Introduction Headsets are devices I’ve avoided most of me life. Being a PC gamer, it seems odd to say this. On the other hand, when I would try a headset, I would find them, hot, uncomfortable, and lacking the type of sound quality I’ve come to expect from a good pair of book shelf speakers with a quality amplifier. CREATIVE set out to change my opinion (unawares) by sending me the Sound BlasterX H5 gaming headset to review. The timing couldn’t be better since I was about to pull the trigger on something to help hide the noise of my various games and speech clients from my family. I thought I would be sacrificing my comfort, but I found an experience that I wasn’t sure even existed until now. Before we jump into the details, let’s look at a bit of info on CREATIVE, the company behind the Sound BlasterX H5. Also, check out the video review featured above!
