Not the Tomb Raider One You might have been thinking of the evil corporation in conflict with the Crofts. While we’re not talking about that Trinity, the device is far more versatile than the initial appearance would suggest. Patriot introduced a USB flash drive that can handle multiple ports, but we also want to see how well it performs. First, let’s look at a brief statement from the company.
I could tell you about the 3000 MHz speed, or the 15-17-17-15(?) timings, or the XMP 2.0 profile, but there's only one thing that really matters here. Glowing Snake Eyes!!! That's right, the eyes on the Viper logos actually glow on this DDR4 RAM! You have to admit that's pretty awesome right?
Patriot is giving the world what they desperately need with the Trinity 3-in-1 USB Drive. With a variety of capacities, you can use this with standard USB ports, Type C ports, and even micro USB ports. This is a lifesaver for people who need a versatile storage device.
Patriot Viper is getting serious about entering the NVMe SSD market. A new m.2 storage drive has over 3000 MB/s read and write speeds, with an impressive 600k IOPS read and write speeds. Of course, testing will need to be done to confirm if Viper can measure up.
Patriot has aggressively styled heat spreaders and LED lighting, making their RAM kits attractive. However, it's the overclocking potential of the Viper LED DDR4 that really shines. They only come in RED or White LED, but we're hoping for RGB in the future.
NVMe SSD speeds are expected if you have an M.2 or PCI storage slot. Patriot brings fast read and write speeds to an external SSD though. Using USB Type C and Thunderbolt technology, the Evlvr will give incredibly fast file transfers for users and shock resistance.
Patriot is pushing into the gaming market a little harder with the Viper V570 Blackout. The ergonomics aren't the best, but the trade off is a mouse that seems to improve precision and reaction. The RGB lighting is amazing and the button layout gives gamers a lot of ability options.
Patriot is releasing a new line of DDR4 memory with the Viper LED series. It comes in white and red LED options, but no RGB. They are also carefully selecting memory modules to help ensure greater compatibility, maximum performance, and the best overclocking headroom.
Hahahahahaha! This pad is lit!!! I understand what Patriot means, but I also live in Colorado so I can’t help but see the double entendre there. On the plus side, it certainly is lit with a gorgeous RGB ring around the edges and since I love all things RGB, I can’t help but appreciate the new Viper LED Gaming Mouse Pad. Introduction Patriot may not be a name you hear when it comes to world record overclocks or bench-marking records, but they are a brand that’s been around since 1985 supplying us with quality memory. Today we will be taking a look at the Patriot Viper 3 8GB (2x 4GB) Black Mamba 2400 MHz memory kit. The Viper 3 series of RAM offers speeds from 1600-2400 MHz and is compatible with Intel 6, 7, and 8 series motherboards as well as AMD 9 and FM1/FM2 series motherboards. We all know that the price of memory right now is high but we found this kit to be moderately priced under a $100, which isn’t too bad. The Viper 3 series kits are hand tested for system compatibility and are backed by an amazing lifetime warranty. This gives us piece of mind knowing this is one part we won’t have to shell out extra cash for when it dies right after the warranty expires. Before we dive into this review let’s read a little about Patriot: Company Profile: Established in 1985, Patriot Memory builds a full range of memory module and flash memory products, offering a perfect blend of quality and value. Replacing the glacially slow USB 2.0 as the go-to standard of choice for those who want speed, USB 3.0 boasts huge speed increases that can allow us those faster transfer speeds we want, while still maintaining large capacity and highly portable nature of those ubiquitous flash drives. And this brings us to today's topic of discussion: the Patriot Supersonic Rage XT and Boost XT USB 3.0 flash drives. Sporting a USB 3.0 interface to improve performance, these little drives pack 32GB of capacity onto a form factor that can fit onto your key ring. Read on to find out how fast they are.
Memory has become a hot topic with Intel's IvyBridge processors. Lately, we have seen an onslaught of memory modules in the high-end category, which frequently reach frequencies up to 2800MHz. The press has been focusing on high frequencies and performance. Of course, along with a top tier product comes a higher price tag. Manufacturers push these high end memory kits bringing higher margins, but, because of that, we have not seen an abundance in "affordable" memory. Patriot has been known throughout the industry for quite some time. They manufacture memory, flash media, storage enclosures, media plates and Solid State Drives. Memory has always been their first forte, but as we see, they excel in other areas as well, making them more versatile. In the memory segment, Patriot has always been known for solid performance and a mainstream product with outstanding pricing. Today, we have Patriot's 8G 2133MHz Intel Extreme Masters Limited Edition memory kit in our paws and we will say, they look very handsome. Now, let's get these modules unwrapped and onto our IvyBridge test bench to see what Patriot brings to the table this time.
I have to say I am totally blown away as to just how far we have come since then. With everyone going mobile, we now have Cell Phones, Tablets, Notebooks, Laptops, and other portable devices to download, store and stream video and data wirelessly across the information highway at breakneck speeds. Today I have the pleasure of reviewing such a device; The Gauntlet Node from Patriot Memory. We have high demands being placed on us at school, in the workplace, and at home, to store and transfer data and information. With hard drive space on our laptops and computers becoming a premium, I believe Patriot, with the Gauntlet Node, may have come up with a perfect solution. With the Gauntlet Node, you can do it fast and inexpensively, but more importantly wirelessly as well.
