The best storage solution for a computer isn't the fastest one. It's the SSD that can balance price, performance and capacity. The Crucial MX500 does this the best and is a must have product for anyone building a computer. It won't compete with NVMe, but it's top tier among SATA performance.
Sometimes, a single number change can be overlooked. The MX500 SSD is a new release that follows in the footsteps of the MX300. This drive has a new controller though, as well as decent improvements in read and write speeds across the board. Pricing looks great on these drives as well.
On November 5 2013, in Taipei, Cougar introduced The MX500 Mid-tower case . This case has a distinctive European style to it and is perfect for users who expect large upgradeable capability with optimal airflow and ventilation characteristics. The MX500 offers ample space for graphics cards of up to 410mm in length. This is achieved by a unique 3-Mode drive cage concept. In standard mode there is 300mm of space. By using a special ” HDD track mechanism” you can relocate the drive cage to gain another 30mm for a space of 330mm, and when you remove it entirely you get a clearance of 410mm.
