COUGAR 700M Aluminum Gaming Mouse & Speed Mouse Pad – Review

Introduction   Cougar is known for making exotic looking cases, performance chassis fans and the color “orange”. They’ve also been working on expanding to other product sectors over the last few years; We even saw them release a line of power supplies that was generally well received. Hoping to expand on that success, we are now witnessing Cougar reach into the very competitive “gaming peripherals” market. As eSports continues to pick up momentum and followers, hardcore gaming itself is rising from parent’s basements to being broadcast to millions across the globe. As a result, each day new gamers are born into this growing market, and Cougar is looking to “pounce” on this potential revenue stream (Editor’s Note: I see what you did there… -Mike). Cougar sent us the 700M Gaming Mouse and the Cougar Mouse Pad Speed, their latest enthusiast gaming products, to take a look at. We’re going to see if Cougar has what it takes to survive in this tough market, or if they could end up on the “endangered products” list. First, a few words about Cougar:   About COUGAR COUGAR was started in Germany in 2007 by a group of computer peripherals engineers who wanted to design with passion. We established a professional team, adhered to the design philosophy of technology centered on human use and aesthetic perfection. These combinations lead to products that met the global demand for high-end profession...

Roccat Hiro Gaming Mousepad

We recently reviewed a few products by ROCCAT, and now we're back again with another product, the Hiro. The Hiro is a vulcanized silicone gaming surface made for the gaming enthusiast in mind. It is built for speed and fast response time. The 3D vulcanized silicone surface is intended to give you smooth precise movements with your mouse for more control over your gameplay. Roccats Hiro sports a large surface area of 350x250x2.5mm giving the user plenty of room to move freely without worrying about slipping off the pad. With the rounded and smooth edges on the Hiro as well as its power-bonded construction between the surface layers, there will be no need to worry about frayed edges, this baby was made to take the abuse. The covert-tech surface allows for quiet gameplay; no more hearing your mouse tink against a metal surface. The surface is also coated with a protective coating making the Hiro water resistant and easy to clean. The Hiro also features a shock absorbing non-slip base providing a firm grip to most surfaces. The Hiro has a pretty hefty price tag, coming in at $49.99. Will the Hiro be able to impress us?

Simplicity, ease of use, and functionality. These are just some of the things most of us are looking for when we search for computer hardware and peripherals. With today's high tech gadgets, and the complex software that comes along with it, it's sometimes nice to simplify things and go back to the basics. In-Win Rocker Mat

When I think of In-Win the first thing that pops into my mind are PC cases and power supplies, not mouse pads. That will all change in today's review. We will be looking into In-Win's newest edition to their line-up, the Rocker Mat. The mat itself is made from an all aluminum design, with a large surface area of 9' x 12' covered by In-Win's new nano coating. The Rocker Mat sample we received is orange, but if orange is not your color don't worry, the Rocker Mat comes in a variety of 6 colors; blue, purple, red, yellow, pink and orange. In-Win's Rocker Mat comes with a $39.99 price tag. Will this Mat be worthy of the price? We will find out later in our review.

Gigabyte Aivia Krypton Gaming Mouse & Gaming Pad

How many of you remember the the Speed Skating at the last winter Olympics? As a young man during my High School years I did some speed skating of my own... strapping on those skates and racing against others on the clean fresh ice was an exhilarating and rewarding experience, especially when I won. If the conditions of the ice beneath my feet were right, and my skates were sharp it was easier to get in "the zone." The slightest tweak could help me out-maneuver, speed past, and beat my opponents to the finish line. When gaming on a PC you also look for those same slight tweaks that might help you get in the zone and provide that extra edge over your opponents.
