In Win BATMAT mousepad review

Introduction When we think of mouse pads we think about square-ish floppy foam, or even thin textured plastic ones that slide around and have to be secured to the desk just to stay in one place. With earlier versions of mouse pads we were constantly making sure they were clean or overly careful of spilling something on them. Well friends, we don’t have to worry about that anymore. The In Win BATMAT mouse pad is washable, water resistant and scratch resistant because it is constructed with aluminum. That’s right folks, just throw it in the dishwasher and call it good. Personally I got tired of dealing with the older mouse pads, constantly moving, small in size and ruined if something spilt on them. I would rather use the desk surface than put up with the hassle. Is the BATMAT durable and constructed well enough to change opinions about mouse pads? Continue reading to find out! Before we begin, Let’s read about In Win… IN-WIN Development Inc., an ISO 9001 manufacturer of professional computer chassis, power supplies and digital storage devices, is the leading provider of enclosure solutions to system integrators worldwide. Founded in 1985, IN-WIN provides high quality chassis that conform to all safety regulations, as well as unsurpassed customer service.

Enermax iVektor ATX Mid Tower Review

Introduction If there’s one thing that can definitively be said of Enermax, they are very good at offering a compelling product for a very reasonable price. From their diverse portfolio of fans to their CPU coolers, cases and power supplies, Enermax ultimately winds up being a brand that goes on most people’s list of “considerations for my next build/upgrade.” In the current market this matters more than ever, as most are trying to pinch every penny they can but also want to retain as much quality and as many features as possible. Enermax has spotted an otherwise rather dull segment of ATX-mid cases and seeks to inject some more “oomph” with their new lineup of affordable cases called the iVektor series.     Arriving in either white, red, or black we will be exploring whether or not this lineup continues the trend set by it’s predecessors of offering a lot for a little. Let’s delve a bit deeper as we explore an Enermax iVektor in white.   About Enermax, via their Global page: Enermax Technology Corporation is a world-renowned PC Power Supply Unit manufacturer. Since our establishment in 1990, we provide power supply products and peripherals like chassis, cooler, fan and keyboard with excellent quality and have won recognitions of consumers around the world. ENERMAX products are recommended by worldwide reviewers, and certain were granted by iF, Red Dot, Good Design and Taiwan Excellence Awards. Those are pro...

Corsair Vengeance LP Low Voltage 8GB 1600 MHz Memory

Intro [Editor’s Note: We would like to introduce our newest contributing member to the writing team: Mike G. He will be writing reviews for us on several different products from now on and we are glad to have him. For this first review, Mike used a product he already owned. This is also why we couldn’t do our typical unboxing treatment, as he no longer had the original packaging. Regardless, he did a bang-up job and will fit in well here at PureOverclock. Please welcome Mike G. to the PureOverclock Staff! ] Let’s face it: when most system builders get their parts lists together, one of the affecting factors in product selection is product aesthetics. Whether is is the style of heat pipes on a graphics card or the color of the motherboard, looks can make or break a system. Of course after appearances are considered, performance matters as well. Depending on whom you ask, performance may mean a few different things; it could mean raw power, or it could mean efficiency. Rarely can you have both in one finely tuned package that also happens to look good and is reasonably priced. Corsair has maintained such a balance since 2002 with some of the most stylish and best performing memory you can buy, both in terms of pure bandwidth capabilities and responsible power consumption. Most recently, their Vengeance lineup has epitomized this balance, offering not only varying levels of performance, but offering several different styles of heat sinks in many different colo...

Cougar Challenger

Cougar may be a brand familiar to Europeans but North American gamers may not have heard of this company and the products they offer. The new Cougar Challenger mid tower case definitely shows a distinct personality which makes it standout compared to other mid tower cases. The case's bold styling really makes it stand out, the front cover in particular has an aggressive design that would feel equally at home as the front of a starship or as a character in a Transformer movie. The materials, design and build quality are excellent and it is apparent that a lot of thought went into the design and manufacturing of this case. This case is packed with all the features you would expect in a mid tower gaming case like great cooling with a built in 200mm fan, a top mounted SATA hot swap bay, top panel USB 3.0, a side window, good cable management and easy to use tool-less drive bays. Sapphire PURE Platinum Z77/K

The battle for Z77 motherboards is very hot as of late. We have tested a slew of them and have seen more creative innovation than ever before. ASUS and Gigabyte tend to be the leaders when it comes to new products, but we have seen companies like MSI, Biostar and Elite Group step up their game in both aesthetics and features. Today we have a Sapphire Z77-based board on the bench, and will see how it competes with these others. Intel recently released Ivy Bridge and it seems to finally be proliferating retailer’s shelves. For those not familiar with Ivy Bridge, it is Intel’s next generation processor spawned from Sandy Bridge. Intel’s Tick Tock strategy brought new architecture with Sandy Bridge (Tock) and Ivy Bridge (Tick) brings a die shrink to 22nm with increased transistors. The new transistors called Tri-Gate 3D bring more efficiency with less voltage, but they do run much hotter than Ivy’s older brother Sandy. We have the new Sapphire Z77/K Motherboard in for testing, and it looks like it might be a great over-clocker at an affordable price. Click the link to find out more.
