EverCool AIOLUS II Notebook Cooler

Introduction With technology these days allowing computer systems to come in all sizes, we often find the problem of keeping our notebooks/laptops cool while working in the office or on the go. Laptop manufacturers have always designed their cases to bring the fresh cool air in from the bottom which doesn’t really make much sense. Having a computer that allows you to stay mobile without being held down shouldn’t be compromised by system temps. Before coolers were designed for this specific problem, we used to prop the laptop up from the surface in order to keep that airflow moving. EverCool previously developed a cooler that lifts the laptop off the surface with dual fans pushing that fresh air. However, EverCool must have wondered “Why stop there? We’re pushing cold air into the case but what about the exhaust?” Out of this question is born the idea for the AIOLUS II. This is EverCool’s first cooler with an external fan that mounts to the outside and assists the stock exhaust fans by pulling hot air out. Will it be enough to have this extra cooling support underneath as well as mounted to the side? Let’s read on and find out if EverCool can keep our laptop’s components more cool. Before we get started, here’s a word from EverCool. EVERCOOL has pursued sustainable management as its operating principle since it sold Intel 386 CPU Coolers in 1994.The head office is located in Taipei, and the factory in Dong Guang is around...

Roccat Ryos MK Glow

Introduction ROCCAT has been known for delivering exceptional peripherals like keyboards, mice, headphones and mouse pads. They also have notebooks available but only in Germany. However, when it comes to keyboards, they have been a bit behind the times. After taking a year in development, they are ready to introduce gamers to the Ryos Series. We have the opportunity to review the Ryos MK Glow. It features a built-in palm rest, individual LED keys, an anti-smudge surface, fully capable macros and individual key remapping. When it comes to their first Mechanical keyboard, ROCCAT makes a bold statement, “The most advanced, most customizable mechanical keyboard ever – NOBODY comes close! Introducing the illuminated ROCCAT™ Ryos MK Glow mechanical gaming keyboard. With an eye-watering number of configuration options and high-quality CHERRY MX key switches, you can break out – and unleash the gaming beast within.” We have to ask ourselves, Is ROCCAT being overly confident with their first keyboard? There’s plenty of other manufacturers who have been releasing Mechanical keyboards for years and haven’t claimed to be the most customizable. If their statement is true, will there be room for improvement? These are just a few questions that come to mind after such a bold statement. Before we find out if the Ryos MK Glow will live up to their statement, let’s find out a bit more about the company.   Founded in 2007, ROCCAT™ develops high qu...

Cambridge Audio Minx Go

Introduction We just received the Minx Go for review recently. Developed by Cambridge Audio, the Minx Go is a Bluetooth speaker that is designed for indoor or backyard barbecue activities. While the Minx Go isn’t something that you would want to take on an outdoor adventure, you shouldn’t need to settle for a boombox style stereo for entertaining the guests. The five speaker array is designed to deliver crisp and precise audio streamed from your Bluetooth enabled device. While the Minx Go doesn’t have your normal features like a speakerphone, the audio quality and looks make up for lacking a speakerphone. Will the Minx Go earn the recognition of gamers? Continue reading to see how it stands up…   First, here’s a bit about Cambridge Audio Music is also at the heart of everything we do and we believe that every musical experience should be a magical one. Although it’s an incredible treat which we urge everyone to experience, most people simply don’t have time to listen to a dedicated hi-fi every time they want to hear great music.

In Win BATMAT mousepad review

Introduction When we think of mouse pads we think about square-ish floppy foam, or even thin textured plastic ones that slide around and have to be secured to the desk just to stay in one place. With earlier versions of mouse pads we were constantly making sure they were clean or overly careful of spilling something on them. Well friends, we don’t have to worry about that anymore. The In Win BATMAT mouse pad is washable, water resistant and scratch resistant because it is constructed with aluminum. That’s right folks, just throw it in the dishwasher and call it good. Personally I got tired of dealing with the older mouse pads, constantly moving, small in size and ruined if something spilt on them. I would rather use the desk surface than put up with the hassle. Is the BATMAT durable and constructed well enough to change opinions about mouse pads? Continue reading to find out! Before we begin, Let’s read about In Win… IN-WIN Development Inc., an ISO 9001 manufacturer of professional computer chassis, power supplies and digital storage devices, is the leading provider of enclosure solutions to system integrators worldwide. Founded in 1985, IN-WIN provides high quality chassis that conform to all safety regulations, as well as unsurpassed customer service.

Enermax iVektor ATX Mid Tower Review

Introduction If there’s one thing that can definitively be said of Enermax, they are very good at offering a compelling product for a very reasonable price. From their diverse portfolio of fans to their CPU coolers, cases and power supplies, Enermax ultimately winds up being a brand that goes on most people’s list of “considerations for my next build/upgrade.” In the current market this matters more than ever, as most are trying to pinch every penny they can but also want to retain as much quality and as many features as possible. Enermax has spotted an otherwise rather dull segment of ATX-mid cases and seeks to inject some more “oomph” with their new lineup of affordable cases called the iVektor series.     Arriving in either white, red, or black we will be exploring whether or not this lineup continues the trend set by it’s predecessors of offering a lot for a little. Let’s delve a bit deeper as we explore an Enermax iVektor in white.   About Enermax, via their Global page: Enermax Technology Corporation is a world-renowned PC Power Supply Unit manufacturer. Since our establishment in 1990, we provide power supply products and peripherals like chassis, cooler, fan and keyboard with excellent quality and have won recognitions of consumers around the world. ENERMAX products are recommended by worldwide reviewers, and certain were granted by iF, Red Dot, Good Design and Taiwan Excellence Awards. Those are pro...

Corsair Vengeance LP Low Voltage 8GB 1600 MHz Memory

Intro [Editor’s Note: We would like to introduce our newest contributing member to the writing team: Mike G. He will be writing reviews for us on several different products from now on and we are glad to have him. For this first review, Mike used a product he already owned. This is also why we couldn’t do our typical unboxing treatment, as he no longer had the original packaging. Regardless, he did a bang-up job and will fit in well here at PureOverclock. Please welcome Mike G. to the PureOverclock Staff! ] Let’s face it: when most system builders get their parts lists together, one of the affecting factors in product selection is product aesthetics. Whether is is the style of heat pipes on a graphics card or the color of the motherboard, looks can make or break a system. Of course after appearances are considered, performance matters as well. Depending on whom you ask, performance may mean a few different things; it could mean raw power, or it could mean efficiency. Rarely can you have both in one finely tuned package that also happens to look good and is reasonably priced. Corsair has maintained such a balance since 2002 with some of the most stylish and best performing memory you can buy, both in terms of pure bandwidth capabilities and responsible power consumption. Most recently, their Vengeance lineup has epitomized this balance, offering not only varying levels of performance, but offering several different styles of heat sinks in many different colo...
