Silverstone Strider Gold S Series 850W PSU and PP07 Cable Extensions

One of the most common questions we ask when working on a new computer build is "what power supply (PSU) should I get?" Often times it can be a tricky decision, as many manufacturers make the same claims as one another. What can compound this decision-making process is the amount of space you have to work with in your rig. If you are building a smaller form-factor PC, the size of your PSU can limit the total wattage you can get in your PSU as well, which can confound you even more. Silverstone is here to tell you that size doesn't mean everything, and that you can have your cake and eat it, too. Enter their Strider Gold S series power supplies, which are labeled as not only the world's smallest ATX power supplies, but are also rated to supply as much as 850W of peak output power. For today's review, we have their top dog on hand: rated at 80 Plus Gold certification and being fully modular with a silent operating 120mm fan and 850W of total power output, we'll see if this PSU lives up to Silverstone's legendary quality. We will also be taking a quick look at their new line of PP07 braided cable extensions for those of you who are simply not satisfied with plain looking cables, but lack the skill/time/patience to do your own custom braiding. First, a word on Silverstone for those who are new to the brand:

Antec Kuhler H2O 950 AIO CPU cooler

In a market which is quickly becoming saturated with a great selection of All-In-One (AIO) water cooling systems, it is becoming increasingly difficult to distinguish yourself from the rest of the crowd. After all, there's only so much innovation to be had before you've exhausted all of the possibilities of the specific form factor that these products really have to take. Antec believes that there is some unexplored territory left in this realm and have answered the call to be different with the introduction of their new lineup of AIO CPU coolers. On hand today is the middle child of the bunch, the Kuhler H2O 950: Will it's unique design and feature set enable it to stand out in the crowd, or does it fall flat and just blend in with everything else? Read on to find out, but first here's a little bit about Antec:

Cooler Master Glacer 240L AIO

As performance has increased, traditional cooling solutions have struggled to keep up. Engineers have made air coolers larger, and added more fans and heat pipes in an effort to keep CPU temperatures in check. This approach has only taken us so far in the quest for the ultimate cooling solution. The popularity of custom water cooling has been on the rise among the elite and hardcore gamers. Others find it too bothersome or worrisome to add liquids where we have been taught not to put them. Over the last two years there has been an explosion of middle ground solutions called All in One Liquid (AIO) Cooling or Sealed Loop Systems. These have allowed the better cooling of water without the maintenance or fears of a fully custom water cooling system. Cooler Master has been successful with their previous outings in the seal loop arena but now they want to tackle the last hurdle for all AIO’s; expandability. The Glacer 240L Liquid CPU cooler is meant to address all of your current needs and those you may have in the future. That is a tall order for any CPU cooler but Cooler Master feels the Glacer 240L is up to the task. We will find out soon if they are correct.

Cougar MX500 Mid Tower

In an ideal world, when you want to build your next PC, you want to get nothing but the best components for the money you can get your hands on. Unfortunately, life tends to sometimes get in the way, and some corners must be cut somewhere to make the build happen. This is why various price points exist for different ranges of products, though lately several manufacturers have taken to the notion that the ratio of paying less for getting less is too heavily skewed in favor of paying less for getting nowhere near enough for your money. Cougar figures it's their turn to toss another chip into the stack of afford-ably priced gamer cases with the introduction of the MX500 mid tower case. Said to be a sleek, modern designed gaming tower, does this offer gamers the features they crave without breaking the bank? Let's dig in and find out, but first here's a bit about Cougar:

SilverStone Tundra TD02 AIO CPU Cooler Review

Introduction Up for review today on our test bench is the SilverStone Tundra TD02 AIO CPU cooler. The TD02 is SilverStone’s first attempt at breaking into the AIO liquid cooling market. Since 2003 SilverStone has been bringing us unique and quality-built products like the TJ11 computer case, which is still being modded today, and exceptional air coolers. Unlike most of the AIO coolers out there the TD02 features a 45mm thick radiator instead of your standard 25-30mm and has a copper base with a nickel-plated aluminum unibody. The copper base is also unique; most AIO blocks I’ve seen aren’t a full cover, meaning there are screws on the bottom of the block holding a lid on. Unlike those blocks, as we will see later on, the TD02 is a solid piece of copper giving us full coverage on our CPU. The SilverStone Tundra TD02 comes with 2 x 120mm PMW controlled fans that have a static pressure of 3.5mm/H20 and a max airflow of 92.5CFM. Will SilverStone’s first attempt at entering the AIO CPU cooling market be able to hang with the veterans? I guess you will have to keep reading to find out. Before we jump into the review here is a word about SilverStone:
