CoolIT Systems Selected by CoinTerra to Partner for Liquid Cooling Solutions

New custom cooling solution tames the latest super high performance GoldStrike1 ASIC  CALGARY, Alberta, Canada – September 26, 2013 CoolIT Systems, Inc., has entered into a long term partnership agreement with CoinTerra, the performance and value leader in Bitcoin ASIC Mining solutions. CoinTerra® chose CoolIT’s custom liquid cooling solution to cool the latest super high performance GoldStrike1™ ASIC chips. “Working with an industry pioneer like CoinTerra® is an important step towards liquid cooling becoming an industry standard,” said Geoff Lyon, CEO of CoolIT Systems. “We started CoolIT Systems to deliver on the promise of maximizing the performance of well designed silicon through better cooling technology. CoinTerra’s ASIC chip, The GoldStrike1™ combined with CoolIT’s DCLC™ can do just that.” CoolIT’s liquid cooling solution unleashes CoinTerra’s ASIC chip, The GoldStrike1™, a fast and efficient ASIC chip designed especially for Bitcoin mining. Hashing at a minimum of 504 GH/s, the GoldStrike1™ chip is designed for both speed and efficiency. “CoolIT was a clear choice for us. Bitcoin mining systems carry a unique thermal profile, which require the most advanced, custom cooling solutions. We chose CoolIT because they have the best technology and track record in this space,” said Ravi Iyengar, CEO of CoinTerra. CoolIT Selected to Host Birds of a Feather (BoF) Session at ISC13

CALGARY, Alberta, Canada – June 11, 2013 CoolIT Systems Inc., a leading supplier of direct contact liquid cooling (DCLC) solutions for high-performance desktops, enterprise servers and data centers has been selected to present a session titled “Building Liquid Cooling Technology Standards” at the International Supercomputing Show in Leipzig Germany on Tuesday June 18th from 12:00 PM – 1:00 PM. The inspiration for this BoF session stems from the growing demand for liquid cooling in the data center. Experts agree that only liquid can deliver the necessary cooling efficiency to enable high density computing while reducing the power consumption needed to cool the data center. The benefits of liquid cooling have been documented for years but there has been some obstacles preventing widespread adoption. For example, System Integrators build servers, infrastructure companies build racks and cooling containment, and facility managers spec the building requirements. Each of these very different players contributes to an overall solution but there has been very little standardization of equipment other than rack dimensions and electrical connections. “As density targets, efficiency mandates and requirements for power reduction become increasingly difficult to meet with traditional cooling technologies, the industry has no choice but to consider alternatives,” said Geoff Lyon, CEO & CTO for CoolIT Systems. “It is the responsibility of industry experts to collabo...

CoolIT Systems to Sponsor ISC13 Show in Leipzig, Germany

CALGARY, Alberta, Canada – June 6, 2013 CoolIT Systems Inc., a leading supplier of Direct Contact Liquid Cooling (DCLC™) solutions for high-performance desktops, enterprise servers and data centers is a sponsor at the International Supercomputing Show in Leipzig Germany from June 16 -20th, 2013. Experts agree that Direct Contact Liquid Cooling is an important strategy for cooling efficiency and with over 1M DCLC™ units sold, CoolIT can prove it. CoolIT’s Rack DCLC™ solution applies well over a decade of liquid cooling experience and expertise to high performance and high frequency computing. Reduced dependence on expensive CRAC’s and CRAH’s, more servers per rack, lower system power requirements and accessing significantly higher performance potential translates into an effective and scalable cooling strategy that delivers a better bottom line. CoolIT is featuring the full spectrum of DCLC™ solutions that can be configured to meet a range of performance, density and efficiency requirements. Sealed, as well as AHx and CHx systems in 45U, 25U and 12U arrangements will be on display at ISC13. “We are excited about showing off our data center line of Rack DCLC™ solutions at ISC13”, said Barbara Massolin, Marketing Manager for CoolIT Systems. “Between us and our integration partners, CoolIT’s industry leading technology will be on display in four different booths. We look forward to sharing the full spectrum of our DCLC™ technology at booth #301.” ...
