If you already have a compatible closed loop cooler, buying an NZXT Kraken G12 is an easy choice for cooling your GPU. However, some builder look for the right CLC to purchase with the bracket. Here's a guide of compatible units, as well as one of the best choices to balance cost and performance.
Swiftech is long known for their custom liquid cooling components. That hasn't stopped them from improving their Apogee water block, as well as their new site. The Apogee SFK has a prestige variant as well, and their new website brings the company up to the modern era!
Closed Loop Coolers make liquid CPU cooling easy, but many of them feel like carbon copies. The Raijintekk Orcus 240 not only looks great with its RGB design, but the innovation of putting the pump on the hoses is an exciting new design.
Improving on previous case designs can get boring. How many models get a tempered glass upgrade, with everything else about the chassis staying the same? Deepcool introduced a completely new design with the Ark 90 and while it continues to have an included CLC, it stands out as fresh.
Aigo may be obscure, but their cooling components add a nice variety to the market. The Icy K4 RGB CPU cooler won't win any cooling awards, but the illumination is top notch for such a new company. If you want RGB lighting to sync with your motherboard, this is a great option.
Enermax had quite a few products to show off at CES 2018. There was the Saberay PC Case, MaxTytan Titanium and Revolution Gold PSUs, T.B. RGB and Silence Case Fans, and LiqFusion and LiqTech CPU Coolers, Some of the best feature highlights are one click latches for glass panels and a really strong pump flow rate.
Enermax showed off two products that really stood out at CES. The first is the Saberay PC case, which made its first appearance a year before, but has some notable changes before release. The LiqFusion is a new CLC that really sets a high standard for RGB lighting. It also has an external pump!
Phanteks has announced several releases worth noting. The Enthoo Pro case has tempered glass now, the Halos Lux fan frames are an easy RGB upgrade, and the Glacier reservoirs are an elegant addition to the custom loop cooling scene.
In yet another futuristic leap in hardware design, Deepcool has introduced the Fryzen CPU Cooler. Can anyone top the design on that thing. The Quadstellar already had an extremely futuristic design, but Deepcool is also releasing a limited edition of the case. Not sure about the orange though.
Noctua joins the 200mm arena and as always, they are one of the best when it comes to silence and cooling performance. If you aren't a fan of brown and beige fans with a high price though, they may not be your first choice. The sheer quality of their fans is something that shouldn't be ignored.
Corsair seems to have their RGB lighting down to an art, but they also like to improve performance. The Magnetic Levitation ML Pro fans have a combination of high air flow and high static pressure so that they can work well for cases, or CPU coolers and Radiators.
Noctua offers excellent performing low profile CPU coolers with the NH-S12L and NH-L9a-AM4. For those in the SFF computer market, these low profile coolers are a perfect match if you need something better than a stock cooler. If beige and brown isn't a problem.
Noctua has always been known for a professional look and a brown/beige color scheme. Rather than jump on the garish RGB LED craze, they decided to sharpen there aesthetic design by a more elegant color scheme on accessories. The expansion of Chromax on cables and heatsink covers is a fantastic idea that will certainly help builders beautify their builds in new ways. Check out the full press release below! Vienna, October 16th 2017 – Noctua today introduced the long-awaited chromax editions of its most renowned 120mm and 140mm fan models as well as chromax line cables and heatsink covers for its award-winning NH-U12S and NH-D15 series CPU coolers. All the new chromax line products allow users to colour-customise their Noctua cooling systems in order to match popular build colour schemes. “Noctua is an engineering-driven company: we pride ourselves on relentlessly tuning our products for maximum performance and quality rather than putting form before function, but of course we understand that many customers put an emphasis on build aesthetics these days,” explains Roland Mossig (Noctua CEO). “With the new chromax line fans, cables and heatsink covers, we now offer a range of products that’s ideal for those who care about looks just as much as about quality and performance.” Having received more than 100 awards and recommendations from international hardware websites and magazines, the NF-A15, NF-A14, NF-F12 and NF-S12A are among Noctua’s most renowned 140mm ...
Many of you have certainly been “stunned” by all of the new RGB effects on computer hardware these days. By stunned I mean, blinded by dazzling rainbow lights to the point that you vision blacks out and your body freezes in place from the shock. As for me, well, I enjoy being stunned by a vibrant array of LED colors. Corsair has taken the next step by adding an internal ring of RGB glow to the LL series of fans. Sure, some people think the RGB is a bit much, but as always, I’m super excited by the effect the lighting has on the blades. When will someone get a full spectrum wave RGB LED 200mm fan? Fremont, CA – October 12th, 2017 – CORSAIR®, a world leader in enthusiast memory, high-performance gaming and PC components hardware today announced a new addition to its acclaimed range of RGB cooling fans, the LL Series. 16 Brilliant independent RGB LEDs encircle each LL series fan and its central hub (12 LEDs in the outer loop and four in the inner), all controllable using CORSAIR LINK software to create a stunning symphony of color.
