Today we will be reviewing the be quiet! Shadow Rock 2 CPU cooler. The Shadow Rock 2 features 4x 8mm pipes, and an optimized 120 mm fan with PWM control. It will work with all current Intel and AMD processors. This CPU cooler comes in at a little under the $50 dollar mark, putting it in a price bracket with some very good coolers. One name always comes to mind when you’re talking about superior air cooling performance. That name is Phanteks. Phanteks has become the light and heavy-weight champion in the air cooling arena with high performance air coolers, like their PH-TC14PE. Phanteks is again entering the ring with a new middle-weight contender called the Phanteks PH-TC12DX. It's a single stack profile in a push pull configuration. The PH-TC12DX seems especially geared for those higher end rigs and gaming cases that offer very little space around the CPU area. Today will be looking at this new addition to the Phanteks family of coolers. It carries the same technologies we have seen in Phanteks' larger coolers, their special P.A.T.S. and C.P.S.C. technologies. The PH-TC12DX sports a smaller profile of just 126 x 57 x 157mm, a nickel plated copper block, four 6mm heat pipes embedded within the block, a blue, aluminum-finned heat stack and two 120mm white and blue PWM fans. All of this is packed together in a smaller footprint. Read on and let’s see if this middle-weight contender can pack a punch like its heavy-weight bigger brother.
CPU coolers - we all know what they are and we all use them. Whether it be the stock cooler that came with your CPU or a high-end custom water cooling setup we all have one and we all need one. There's cooler that are cheap and relatively inefficient and there are coolers that are expensive and work exceedingly well. What about the happy medium? What about the best of both - price and performance? Enter NZXT and their Respire line of CPU coolers. They aim to give the best performance for the least amount of cash - but do the coolers meet those expectations? Phanteks is now entering the ring with a new light-weight contender called the Phanteks PH-TC90LS. It is a new arrival with a very low profile. It looks like it is especially geared for those small form factor gaming cases and HTPC builds we now see flooding the market. Its design seems to cater to the limited amount of space that they provide. Today, I have the pleasure of reviewing a new addition to the Phanteks family of coolers, The PH-TC90LS. It is a very small, low profile cooler with the same technologies we have seen in Phanteks larger builds, like their special P.A.T.S. and C.P.S.C. technologies. The PH-TC90LS sports a low profile of just 95x95x45mm. It is made of a nickel plated copper block, with three 6 mm heat pipes embedded within the block, as well as an aluminum finned heat stack & a 90mm low profile white PWM fan. All this is packed together in a very small footprint. Read on to see if this light weight contender can score a knockout punch like its bigger brothers.

Though many coolers are designed to look the same, not all are made to perform with exceptional thermal cooling power. Today we will be taking a look at the Phanteks PH-TC14CS-BK cooler. If you know the name Phanteks, it goes without saying that Phanteks makes some of the top performing air coolers on the market. We have seen coolers ranging from small to large, some with exceptional thermal properties, others not so much. All of these coolers use the typical single or twin tower designs, proving that being typical isn't always the best. The Phanteks PH-TC14CS-BK is anything but your typical CPU cooler design, the unique touches made by Phanteks really makes this cooler stand out. The Phanteks PH-TC14CS is designed in a horizontal position or in a "updraft floating balance", where fans are mounted on the bottom and top of the cooler. Will this design provide better thermal performance or will this design hinder it? As we take a closer look at this cooler we will soon find out.
