ASUS Mars GTX 295 Preview
written by Jake - June 2, 2009 21:55
Our friends at Nordic Hardware have a preview of the ASUS Mars GTX 295 monster, which features an insane 4GB VRAM and 512-bit memory bus.

ASUS has spent many hours improving NVIDIA's top tier card to make it even faster, and it has succeeded. ASUS Mars GTX 295 is basically two GeForce GTX 285 graphics cards slapped together. We have pictures, benchmarks and specifications to share, and some first hand information on how the graphics card in a Quad-SLI configurations claimed the 3DMark Vantage Extreme world record with ease.

ASUS has endowed each GPU with 2GB memory buffer and 512-bit memory bus, which means that Mars GTX 295 has a total memory buffer of no less than 4GB and a memory interface of a total of 1024-bit. None of these achievements have been seen before with a retail graphics cards, even less with "only" one graphics card.

Check out the full preview at Nordic Hardware.
