Call of Duty: World At War Downloadable Maps Coming
written by Jake - February 11, 2009 09:57
Activision and Treyarch have announced new downloadable content is coming for Call of Duty: World at War gaming fans in the form of new maps, to be available in March.

New conflicts are on the horizon for one of the most intense online multiplayer games of 2008, as Activision Publishing, Inc. and developer Treyarch, announced plans to release Call of Duty: World at War Map Pack 1. Due out in March, Call of Duty: World at War Map Pack 1 will bring four new downloadable maps to PC gamers, Xbox 360, and PLAYSTATION 3 fans.

The new maps are:

Nightfire
In "Nightfire," players take to the streets of a war-ravaged Berlin with only the flames of the burning city to expose the enemy.

Station
"Station" offers a bombed out underground train station littered with hidden passageways and destroyed subway cars.

Knee Deep
"Knee Deep" takes place on the island of Peleliu in a once tranquil village turned chaotic Japanese command center.

Verrückt (Zombie Asylum)
The fan favorite 4-player co-op Nazi Zombies Bonus Mode returns with "Verrückt," a terrifying Zombie asylum featuring more weapons, perks via the addition of Perks-a-Cola machines, electroshock defenses and the endless zombie horde.

Call of Duty: World at War is rated "M" (Mature) by the ESRB for Intense Violence, Strong Language, Blood and Gore. For more information and exclusive updates about Call of Duty: World at War, visit www.callofduty.com
