written by Ciro - October 30, 2008 08:30

An 18-carat gold coated Pico-C flash drive is now on offer from Super Talent, who have assigned a $599 price tag. 8GB speeds and 30MB/s transfers are also on the agenda.

The company guarantees the quality of its material with a serialized Certificate of Authenticity. Apart from its looks, the drive offers storage of 8 GB, and data-transfer speeds of up to 30 MB/s. Data security measures includes 256-bit AES encryption.

The company is taking orders, and offers laser-etched corporate logos, or any custom etch design on the body at no extra charge, making it an executive gifting option. The drive comes in a black velvet jewelery case. The product is available only on a pre-order basis for a limited time, with three to four weeks lead time. Part number STC8GBPCKG is offered to resellers at $599 a piece.
