The final piece of the Sonic puzzle has landed in the form of the Palit HD 4870 Sonic Dual Edition, which features a dual-fan cooler. 1GB of memory is also on the agenda.
Pictured below, the new RV770 card offers DirectX 10.1 support, 800 fiery Stream Processors, CrossFireX, a PCI-Express 2.0 interface and UVD 2 (Unified Video Decoder).
Cooling wise, Palit's Radeon makes use of a dual-slot solution with two fans while, in terms of frequencies, it has a 750 MHz GPU and 3800 MHz of GDDR5 memory (3600 MHz stock). Those who want more can opt to use the back-panel-placed Smart Switch which will overclocked the GPU and 1GB of memory to 775 and 4000 MHz respectively. In addition, the Sonic card has D-Sub and DVI plus HDMI and DisplayPort connectors.
