Core V2 ehh? Sounds somewhat familiar... |
Following the launch of its Core series solid-state drives six weeks ago, OCZ has now taken things one step further with the addition of the faster Core V2 series.
Still coming in a 2.5-inch form factor, the new SSDs have SATA 3.0 Gbps and mini USB 2.0 connectivity and will be available in 30GB, 60GB, 120GB and 250GB capacities. Compared to the first Core drive, the Core 2 SSDs have an improved seek time that is less than 0.2 - 0.3ms and higher maximum read and write speeds - 170 MB/s (120 to 143 MB/s for the Core models) and 98 MB/s (80 to 93 MB/s) respectively.
