Despite the record-breaking popularity of Firefox 3, Mozilla has rolled-out another update for its older FireFox 2 browser. Version 2.0.0.16 is rated as "critical".
All eyes might be on the third generation Foxxy One but the Mozilla team is continuing to support and update its predecessor, Firefox 2. As a result, a fresh security update is now available for Firefox 2 and it comes to fix two issues - a vulnerability of the internal CSSValue array data structure which could lead to the running of arbitrary code and one that could enable the launch of chrome:i URIs from the command-line.
