AMD starts laying off staff
written by Ciro - April 6, 2007 06:15

DAMMIT, well that's what the people who got laid off will be saying.

New news has come in supporting the "Financial trouble at AMD" article. Yesterday AMD laid off more than 375 staff, mainly from the accounting area. More than half of those staff were former ATI workers.

Since AMD bought ATI it has been struggling to sort out its finances as it attempts to combine traditional processing chores with graphics capabilities in one chip.
