Intel E2100 processor family benchmarked
written by Ciro - April 6, 2007 05:46

Intel's upcoming E2140 and E2160 budget processors don't fall too far behind the competition.

Intel's new dual-core E2100 family of performers have been benchmarked on a Chinese hardware site (don't worry the figures are in English). The new low-end series even gives the E4300 a run for its money.

Shipping in June, the new processor is based on Intel’s Conroe core but halves the L2 cache of similar Core 2 Duo E4000-series, making for a total of 1MB of L2 cache. Running at 800mhz FSB the E2140 and E2160 are clocked at 1.6Ghz/1.8Ghz.
