Some information has cropped up regarding AMD's next-gen processor, formerly known as K8L. These are the ones which should be competitive to Core 2's.
There appear to be four flavours in the line up: Barcelona: socket AM2+, quad core, 2MB L3 shared, and Hypertransport 3.0.
Agena FX: socket 1207+, quad core, 2MB L3 shared, and Hypertransport 3.0.
Agena: socket AM2+, quad core, 2MB L3 shared, and Hypertransport 3.0.
Kuma: socket AM2+ package, dual core, 2MB L3 shared, and Hypertransport 3.0.
