We've got a detailed look at Sapphire's new 4890 Vapor-X, set to release soon, complete with pics and specs. We got our hands on one of Sapphire's new 4890 Vapor-X cards. As you can see below, it comes with a non-reference blue PCB and sports a cooler similar to that of the 4870 Vapor-X. The technology uses a vapor chamber plate that makes direct contact with the GPU, transferring heat to a heatsink that is cooled by a single, large fan. The VRM area of the card is then cooled by its own smaller heatsink.
Our GPU-Z screenshot confirms that Sapphire uses clock speeds of 870 MHz (core), and 1050 MHz (memory). The card features 1 GB of GDDR5 memory and there are DVI, D-Sub, HDMI and DisplayPort output connectors provided.
The card will reach hit retail shelves by the end of May and the list price will be $229.00 USD.
