Arctic Cooling launch Accelero Twin Turbo
written by Ciro - July 3, 2008 11:00
It doesn't support the HD 4800-series, unfortunately...

Arctic Cooling has unveiled yet another GPU cooler - the Accelero Twin Turbo. The dual-slot design accommodates a price of $35.

The new Accelero comes with four heatpipes which are connected to 30 fins. These 30 fins are cooled by two 80mm PWM fans which gives the Accelero Twin Turbo airflow to 40CFM and up to 120 Watts of cooling capacity. With these specs, the new Accelero achieves 34°C lower temperature when compared to the Nvidia Geforce 9600GT reference cooler.

Unfortunately, Artic Cooling didn't show any results of this cooler in combination with ATI's HD 4800 series cards, but we are sure that is does a better job than the reference solution. The lower temperature isn't the only feature of this cooler, as it comes with lower noise level, pre-applied MX-2 thermal compound, patented fan holder and six years of warranty.

It can be mounted on ATI's Radeon X1300 series, X1550, X1600, X1650, X1800, X1900, X1950, HD 2400, 2600, 3850, 3870, 4850 and 4870 as well as the Nvidia's GeForce 6600, 6800, 7300, 7600, 7800, 7900, 7950GT, 8400, 8500, 8600, 8800 GT, 8800 GTS (G92) and 9600 GT.
