Seagate 10,000rpm desktop drives

Seagate the first to take on the Raptors

Apparently, Seagate is readying a 10,000 rpm desktop hard drive to compete directly with Western Digital's Raptor's.

A Seagate engineer recently said that demand for high performance drives for the desktop market is now big enough and the cost of producing such drives is low enough to make this happen.
