Gigabyte GTX 750 Ti Windforce Review

Today we're specifically looking at the Gigabyte GTX 750 Ti Windforce, a budget-oriented card that comes with a factory overclock out of the box and a cooler design that promises very low temperatures, while looking to trounce AMD's R7 260X not only in performance, but also power efficiency. Let's take a closer look and get it on the bench to see if real world tests can fulfill Nvidia's aspirations.

Gigabyte GTX 780 GHz Edition Review

Today we're looking at a premium gaming card from Gigabyte in the form of the GTX 780 GHz Edition. As you can probably guess, its approach comes in the form of aggressive overclocking, by juicing up the core past 1GHz, one of the fastest on the market. Gigabyte doesn't normally just overclock their products, and indeed this model sports a stunning cooler that we've seen before: the Windforce. We've been impressed in the past with Gigabyte Windforce graphics cards, and we suspect this new one will be no different. It's constructed in metal rather than cheap plastic, comes with three fans, heatpipes, and a boatload of cooling potential in a stylish gaming package. Factor in a very aggressive overclock on this card, and we are eager to see just how fast this thing can go. Let's take a closer look.

Gigabyte Windforce R9-27xOC-2GD

Introduction:   There has been a flurry of guesses, assumptions, predictions and all out nonsense relating to the new AMD R9 and R7 series of GPUs. Well the day has come where we can confirm and/or lay to rest most of the items previously listed. Launch day is here! The internet has been on fire for the last few days about the new AMD GPUs for multiple reasons: performance increases, newer technology features and most of all prices. We all love to finally know how much something will cost so we know how much work it will be to obtain. We love it even more when we get more performance per dollar. That ratio seems to be the driving force behind the new AMD cards released today. Unfortunately we don’t get to see all of the new features of the Hawaii based cards, but I will cover some of those here. What we do get to see is a shift towards a model based on the idea that everyone/anyone can be a gamer. The R9-270x is focused on the mainstream segment of the market where most of the market share resides. Lowering the initial cost of entering the PC gaming segment while still allowing them to play most games with high settings can be a big win for the industry. More people will buy games and will upgrade other hardware. They might also add a 2nd GPU when they decide one will no longer feed their thirst for higher levels of detail and resolution. Many, like myself, are eager to see what the new- “New era of gaming” is all about. Can it possibly live up...

Gigabyte FORCE K7 Stealth Gaming Keyboard

Most gaming keyboards use mechanical switches that couple each key to its own spring loaded switch. They are primarily designed to provide excellent tactile feedback. The majority of these switches use mechanisms from Cherry MX, and are identified by color (Black, Brown, Blue, and Red). Each color offers a slightly different design and is fine-tuned to provide a very specific feel while gaming or typing. Once in a while, you can still find some gaming keyboards that utilize silicone dome switches. These form little domes on a silicone membrane, and use the rubbery material as the switch resulting in a soft and silent feel. These switches often require a full press with each keystroke, slowing down the speed at which commands can be used. A variation of this is the scissor switch, which still uses a silicone membrane and dome switch, but comes in a slimmer profile and adds a stabilizing scissor mechanism beneath each key. Scissor switches are most commonly found on laptops, but a few low-profile keyboards can still be found for desktops and gaming. Today I have the pleasure of reviewing a new arrival from Gigabyte, The FORCE K7 Stealth modeled after and the Stealth Fighter Jet. This particular offering comes to us with a low profile configuration and keys with a scissor switch and membrane combination. The scissor-key structure boasts ultra-quiet performance with its low profile, and quick short key presses. It also has a slim and solid body style. Read on to see w...
