EG Zora

EpicGear Zora Gaming Mouse and Skorpios Bungee Review

Introduction Here we are at round two of our EpicGear review lineup. The Defiant Keyboard with EG’s special brand of switches ended up impressing us quite a bit, so now let’s look at a mouse and a bungee design. The gaming mouse market is extremely hard to stand out in and even if you make a great product, you can simply be one in a sea of many others. However, mouse bungees aren’t quite as common, in spite of the surplus of mice that could use them. We’ll take a closer look at both the Zora Mouse and Skorpios Mouse Bungee, but let’s look again at a statement from EG.

GEIL EVO X DDR4 RGB DDR4 3000 32GB Kit Overview

Introduction Where to start? I have in my grubby little paws a set of GEIL EVO X DDR4 3000 32GB (2 x 16GB) sticks of RAM. As if that isn’t fantastic enough, it’s RGB lit! High Speed RAM and Glowy Bits. What’s not to like? First things first, let me lay something out here and now. I’ve been building computers since 1993, and in all those years, I have never used a product from GEIL. Ever. This seems a bit strange to me since as it turns out, GEIL was established in the same year (1993) that I began building PC’s. To be fair, in those days just getting a PC to work was my primary concern and the concept of “Performance” and “RAM” didn’t have any meaning when associated with my 386DX/33 based system. Over the years, I’ve seen GEIL mentioned in reviews and occasionally noted them as being for sale on NewEgg or similar sites, but for some reason I’ve never picked any up. It doesn’t seem like I’m alone either. Do some searching for GEIL and you’ll find threads on many US Tech Sites that ask about who GEIL is and if they’re any good. Interestingly, the reviews I’ve read of their RAM (often by European based websites) say positive things about GEIL RAM and it’s clear that GEIL is more readily available and more heavily marketed in the Far East and Europe than we find to be the case here in the USA. To be fair to GEIL, it’s also got to be tough to compete against entren...
EpicGear Defiant Thumb

EpicGear Defiant MMS Mechanical Keyswitches Gaming Keyboard Review

Introduction Have you ever met someone for the first time and felt like you hit it off with that person right away? I had that feeling with EpicGear at CES 2017. To be fair, they had shiny new tech and that kind of thing usually happens with my extroverted personality anyways. Still, EG had an impressive CES display and now we get the opportunity to take an up close and personal look at their equipment. EG is a subsidiary of Geil, who you probably recognize for the RAM products. EG however, is specializing in gaming peripherals and I like the concepts they are trying to succeed on. Today we’re going to start the reviews with the Defiant Keyboard and the MMS Mechanical Keyswitches. That’s because we’ll also have a mouse, a cable manager and headset reviews coming shortly hereafter. It seems like EG is offering some great options in the gaming peripheral market, but we’ll need to take a closer look to really get a feel for how “Epic” their gear actually is. While I’m not worried about their chances, let’s first take a look at a beautiful logo I cropped out of the website and a quick statement about the company. By the way, did you know GeIL was an acronym? It was news for me as well.
NZXT Aer RGB

NZXT Aer RGB LED Fans Review

Introduction We live in a new era. Some say it’s Trump’s America now, but I say that America belongs to RGB awesomeness! In fact, about the only component I can think of that doesn’t have RGB awesomeness built in is SSDs. Lighting schemes are getting better with more colors, easier integration for seamless coordination, and built into more components than ever before. NZXT has always managed to bring something great to the table and it seems like they’ve done it again with their new Aer RGB fans. These guys look great in pictures so following a quick look at the company, let’s dive right into what these bad boys (or girls if you prefer) can do. 13 YEARS OF SUCCESSFUL SERVICE CORE VALUES These are the principles that inspire our creativity, drive our decision-making, and guide us in bringing you the best PC gaming products possible. PURSUE PASSION WE ARE A COMPANY OF GAMERS CREATING THE BEST PRODUCTS FOR GAMERS. REVEL IN THAT. FOSTER COMMUNITY WORK AMONG FRIENDS. LISTEN TO AND SUPPORT OUR USERS. FNATIC Clutch G1 Gaming Mouse Review

Introduction Fnatic was the first company I ever reviewed when it came to keyboards and mice. As such, a product can get more leeway than intended because the reviewer doesn’t have as much to compare to. Today, the Flick is still on my desk because it turns out I just really like the feel of that mouse. It comes as no surprise then, that I was more than happy to take another look at a Fnatic product, the Clutch G1 Gaming Mouse. I might have some high expectations now, but we’ll see exactly how well their ergonomic approach is in this seriously over-crowded gaming mouse market. Once again, here’s a little bit of info about who Fnatic is.
Azza Titan 240

AZZA Titan 240 Case Review

Introduction Cases intrigue me more than any PC component with the exception of cooling units. When it comes time to settle on the perfect chassis, it can take me hours and I still never seem to have 100% certainty on my selection. Because of this, I’m always happy to see numerous manufacturers bringing variety to the market. AZZA is a company I’ve seen numerous times, but this is the first time I’ve been able to get my hands on one of their cases. The other revolution we’ve been seeing in the case market is the crazy amount of tempered glass cases that are being released by almost everyone. AZZA is no exception to this and there’s good reason behind it. The glass side panel goes a long way to making the case look far cleaner than any plastic one, while also making the components inside show through a bit clearer. The end result is a PC that looks a lot nicer than the Plexiglass type panels we’ve dealt with before. We’ll begin looking into how AZZA implements their design, but first let’s look at their statement to find out the philosophy behind the company’s designs. AZZA’s Mission is simple: Your satisfaction is our success! Jumpstarted with the Vision to build a premier corporate company that consistently exceeds the managed expectations of our customers, team members and partners, AZZA is driven by the Mission to provide the highest quality products of unmatched value, along with exemplary customer support. We...
