Introduction
Our quest for better air cooling for our processors, and the resulting increased overclocks, is likely relentless for some people. Extracting peak results from a CPU cooler that won't break the bank is probably a common goal, and manufacturers know this, pushing technology forward with new designs. Prolimatech is one such company that is quite new to the cooling scene, but they made quite a splash in enthusiast circles with their Megahalems heatsink, a product that shot to the top of the performance charts.

As times change and technology advances, so must the products, and Prolimatech has released their Revision B of the Megahalems for the Intel 1156 socket. With the inception of Intel's LGA1156 Core i5/i7 processors, we've seen a greater need for increased cooling, and Prolimatech has responded to the challenge.

Today we are looking closely at the Prolimatech Megahalems Rev.B on the LGA1156 socket to see if it can continue its successful ways. More specifically, we'll overclock the snot out of our Core i7 and find out just how far the Rev.B can let us overclock on air cooling. As you'll soon see, we were quite surprised by the results. Follow along and find out why.

Our thanks go to our friends at Prolimatech for supplying the review sample.
