UL Benchmarks (formerly Futuremark, same benchmarks) is having a massive 75% off sale on 3DMark, VRMark, and PCMark 10. Quite frankly, that's an awesome sale! Check out the links below since you only have until the 30th to take advantage of these deals on Steam.
AMD had officially stated that if you use any CPU cooler other than their included ones, you will void your Ryzen processor warranty completely. However, they quickly updated their page and now shows that aftermarket coolers, if properly used and installed, will not void a warranty. Whew!
The release and reviews of the Ryzen 2000 series has been an up and down day. At first I was excited, then I felt like overclocking was going to be gone, then I had an epiphany. AMD probably revolutionized the way overclockers benefit from it!
CLCs are overwhelming used for CPUs, but what if they are better suited for GPUs? The Arctic Liquid Freezer 120 proves it has excellent ability to keep temperatures low during intensive gaming sessions, at minimal noise as well. What it lacks in aesthetics it makes up for by far in price.
The overclocking results are in and the Ryzen 2700X is both amazing and awful at the same time. AMD is making it easier than it's ever been for everyone to overclock, but manual overclocking is basically pointless on 2nd gen Ryzen. It's a tough day to be in the news!
This is my favorite looking design among X470 motherboards I've seen so far. Not only have I waited for Gigabyte to release a Gaming 7, but the Aorus features indicate some stellar performance. However, what's the deal with that 4.6 GHz Overclock tease? Could it be???
A story came out claiming a Ryzen 2700X was overclocked to 4.35 GHz. On further investigation, the real number was 4.19 GHz. Could AMD have a let down on their hands when it comes to overclocking? Don't make that call just yet since the motherboard in question is a huge factor.
The Tactical Tracer RGB RAM kits have an awesome heat spreader design. As good as that is, it looks like Ballistix has brought the memory's lighting control to a new level as well. The utility has a lot of features and users can custom 3D print their own light bars!
AMD announced today that global pre-orders of their 2nd generation of Ryzen processors are now available. Well the friendly experts at PureOC are here to help with a list of reasons on why you should, or why you shouldn't pre-order one of the shiny new CPUs from AMD.
The power of the Greek gods not only makes for great performance, but amazing beauty. The Gamdias Astrape P1 PSU is one of the greatest looking power supplies to date. The only thing holding it back is a high price, and hopefully time will improve that to more competitive levels.
If you've been needing a break from all the RGB news, Corsair has just the RAM you need. The Dominator Platinum Special Edition Contrast Memory offers a clean aesthetic, with only white LEDs, to match the builder who wants a professional look. Also, there's performance to match!
Will there ever be too much RGB? Probably, but I love the new iBuyPower RGB Cable combs. They targeted what could be considered the most boring part of a custom PC build, and turned it into rock concert levels of awesome! At $30, the price is pretty decent too.
The B975 is the keyboard to own if you enjoy competitive online gaming. The Light Strike optical switches give a genuine edge that may not feel like much until the moment relies on it. Bloody also does a great job with competitive quality and features to other mechanical keyboards in it's price range.
The Ryzen 2000 series is about to release and price listings on Amazon reveal to be better than originally expected. Of course, the question arises if AMD will release a 2800X CPU later on. I don't think they will, and I really think they shouldn't add another processor to the Zen+ lineup like that.
All radiators may look the same to some, but overclockers appreciate the fine details that add to cooling performance improvement. The Pacific CL Copper rads from Thermaltake have some normal evolutionary updates, but their reflow solder technique looks like a great improvement.
