Primochill Wet Bench

Introduction Test benches are all the rage these days. People aren’t just using them for testing anymore – they’re actually using them to build daily use PC rigs. Don’t get me wrong, a majority of bench users (like myself) still use them for their intended purpose – hardware testing. Benches make it easy and fast to swap out components giving them the edge over traditional cases. Their open-air looks however have drawn in the modding crowd as of late, with people modding production benches and also plenty of bench-style scratch builds. Primochill recently got into the test bench market and their first offering – the Wet Bench – caters to both traditional hardware testers and daily users alike. They were kind enough to send us one to check out so let’s take a look!     About Primochill “Family owned and family ran bleeding edge water cooling company based in Rio Rancho, NM USA. Website http://www.primochill.com/ We have been a part of the water cooling and case modification industry since 2001, since than our product line has continued to grow into the most unique and most copied hand down. With our main focus being on fluids, dyes, tubing and anything else that has to do with the fluid in your cooling loop. Some of our earliest accolades were centered around our “Pre-Built” watercooling cases which the likes had not been or even seen since.” – Primochill Let’s unbox the wet bench and chec...

Tritton Pro+ True 5.1 Surround HeadSet for PC and MAC

Introduction: Our ability to detect sound is one of our most important senses. It helps us communicate with each other, enjoy music to relax and/or detect a possible danger in our surroundings. Sound has become even more important to us over the last few years with the advent of High Definition content. Rich dialog, car chase music, gun battles with large explosions are all added to immerse you deeper into the entertainment experience. Modern day gaming is no exception. If anything, sound is even more important to a gamer then a movie watcher. You don’t get fragged if you’re not paying attention to a sound in a movie, whereas the sound of glass breaking behind you means life or death to the gamer. Gamers need to hear every nuance to perform at the top of his/her game. : This is where top of the line headsets come into play. Tritton Audio, a leader in sound reproduction for gamers has one of the most popular gaming headsets for the console. PC gamers were yearning to use them on their gaming rig of choice. Tritton listened to those requests and is now releasing the Tritton Pro+ True 5.1 Surround headsets for PC/MAC. Let’s see if Tritton carried over all of the features that made them so successful on the console. First, let us learn a little about Tritton. Headquartered in San Diego California, TRITTON technology leads the way in manufacturing high-performance consumer electronics and computer peripherals. Founded in 2000, TRITTON has since evolved and transformed...

The Neptor NP065K Review

Have you ever gone on a long road trip, or forgot your charger at home, just to find out that the battery for your smartphone or tablet is about to die? It can certainly be annoying! Communication revolves around the ability to stay in contact at any time these days. However, despite [Editor’s note: and perhaps because of] everything smartphones are capable of these days, they are also notorious for dying at the worse time with no way to charge them. EagleTech USA may have solved that problem by developing The Neptor NP065K lightweight power pack. This device is supposedly compatible with simultaneous charging of both smartphones and tablets. Weighing in at only five ounces, it features dual USB 2.0 charging ports. It also has one 2.1A dedicated for high consumption devices such as tablets and one 1.0A for charging smartphones. Deepcool M6 Notebook Cooler

Once upon a time laptops were "as big as a house" and equally as heavy. Today they are ultra-thin and as light as a feather, yet they have all suffered from the same design shortcomings: poor cooling and poor audio reproduction. The cooling problem becomes more of an issue when you step into the performance and gaming realm. The thermals from a high end CPU and lack of innovative cooling solutions can make for an uncomfortable combination to have sitting on your lap. The industry has made some strides in audio reproduction, but for the most part, the sound systems of even the best notebooks fall short of creating immersive experiences. Most are flat and lack range, so that even watching a Youtube video is less pleasurable. There are possible solutions to these problems in the form of standard notebook coolers and add on speaker systems. Each of those have their own draw-backs outside of not being able to address both of your problems by themselves. This is what brings us here today. We have a combined solution in the form of the Deepcool M6 notebook cooling and sound system. The Deepcool M6 combines the form and functions of a standard notebook cooler with the immersive quality of a 2.1 stereo sound system. Has Deepcool solved all of these notebook/laptop woes?

NZXT Sentry Mix 2 Fan Controller and NZXT Grid

Today we are looking at a new arrival from NZXT. It is a successor to the Sentry Mix, and appropriately labeled the Sentry Mix 2. For those of you who are not familiar with its predecessor, the general design was a little gaudy with those big plastic silver sliders. It is reminiscent of some of the older styled audio mixing equipment. But boy did it perform, boosting 6 channels at 50 watts per channel. The new Sentry Mix 2 from NZXT along with its continuation of customizable lighting features, also brings with it a new look. The Sentry Mix 2 now sports a matte black finish with slim-recessed, long, glossy black sliders. Aesthetically, it is a very welcome change. But that is not all it brings; the Sentry Mix 2 also comes with a completely revamped circuitry and a PCB boosting 6 channels with a pure 30 watts per channel output, for a grand total of 180 watts! The sliders are not just there to supply power to the six fans. They also offer up a larger connector at each end for PWM fans' connectivity as well. Also on my test bench today is another new arrival from NZXT, it’s called the NZXT Grid. This is a fan hub that sports LED lighting, and is designed not only for the NZXT family of controllers, but can also be powered by your power supply’s 4-pin Molex connection. The NZXT Grid can be attached to the back side of your MB tray, and gives you the options of installing up to ten fans in any location, thus keeping your motherboard and your build free from any...
