Avexir DDR4 Blitz Series Review

Introduction It’s a perfect time to customize your PC and personalize it to color coordinate your system. Memory manufacturers are now adding memory with LED lighting and hopefully moving towards RGB in the possible future. Avexir is a company getting popular in the US for having an answer to the lighting and RGB craze, and even has its own unique share of this market. Avexir offers innovation technology like its plasma tube ram, and blitz series lighting. Avexir’s motto is “What we believe is how we behave”. Today I will be looking at Avexir’s Blitz series of DDR4 RAM so we can see what these modules have to offer and what makes them so desired for system builders. The RAM kit that was specifically sent to me was the Blitz White. There are dual channel and quad channel kits available on their site. The kit I’m working with is QUAD channel and the model is AVD4UZ130001604G-4BZ1SW. This kit is 4GB x 4 giving a total of 16GB of ram. The specifications are as follows: CL(IDD) 16 cycles Row Cycle Time (tRCmin) 46.5ns (min.) Refresh toActive/Refresh Command Time (tRFCmin) 260ns RowActive Time (tRASmin) 33ns (min.) Enermax Platimax D.F. 500W PSU Review

Introduction Enermax has been making PSUs since 1990. Their mission statement for the past 25 years has been “Power, Innovation, and Design”. Power stems from Enermax being the first manufacturer to break the barrier of 1kW, Innovation for the continuous development of new technologies like “Twister Bearing Technology“, and the many awards won for design. I will be looking at a new PSU product with high-quality parts called the Platimax D.F. series, the 500W model (EPF500AWT). This PSU has some neat new features like Dust free Rotation, so let’s see how this PSU stands out among the crowded market of PSUs and what parts make this a quality PSU.

Logitech Pro and Prodigy Series Peripheral Review

Introduction Where do all the cool mice live? In their mousepads of course! Gaming mice has become a crowded market. So what makes a gaming mouse? Even mice with higher DPI are slapped with the title of “Gaming” mouse. Features like RGB lighting, switch types and sensors are important when choosing a high-quality mouse. For keyboards, it’s a similar story. The market offers different mechanical switches and different lighting options. If you’re interested in keyboard switch types look here. Logitech is a company that primarily focuses on gaming with its “G” series products. The “G” series can be broken down further into their PRO and their Prodigy line. Today I will be looking at a few of Logitech’s mice and keyboards from the “G” series line and see what makes them different from other gaming peripherals.

ViewSonic XG2703-GS Gsync Monitor Review

Introduction ViewSonic is a company that is about customer focus and quality. If you’re curious about the three birds; They are Gouldian Finch Rainbow birds. These birds represent eye-catching colors and are a visual beauty. When James Chu founded ViewSonic he used these birds for the companies logo to symbolize beauty, color, and quality. ViewSonic has some very appealing monitors today and they have come a long way from when they started in 1990. There is nothing better than feeding a high-end GPU a high-end monitor. If you have a relatively new graphics card, you’re going to want a high-end monitor. With features like high refresh rates, better color quality, and stunning resolutions, the difference can be seen and felt. ViewSonic was primarily selling FreeSync monitors, which are for AMD cards. FreeSync was developed to compete with Nvidia’s Gsync technology. These technologies were developed to combat against screen tearing and the input lag that comes from Vsync. Today I will be looking at ViewSonic’s XG2703-GS, which is the companies first Gsync monitor. Let’s see what this monitor has to offer as far as features and if the technology it offers is worth your investment.

Zotac Sonix PCIe 480GB SSD Review

Introduction NVMe SSDs are the enthusiast topic of interest right now. The storage industry has become affordable in the SSD market, but is trending towards NVMe as a replacement. This is faster and can reach GB/s rather than MB/s. It does this by bypassing the ACHI protocol and pushes the boundaries of what basic SSDs can’t. I will be looking at a Zotac implementation of NVMe using an HHHL PCIe card at 480GB. This is Zotac’s first consumer NVMe drive, and claims speeds of up to 2600 MB/s over PCIe gen 3. Let’s see if this drive can push the limit of NVMe and stand out among its competitors. The specifications are as follows: Form Factor PCIE Add-in-Card Interface NVME 1.2 PCIE Gen 3 x 4 Flash Type MLC DRAM Cache 512MB DDR3 Capacity 480GB Sequential Read Up to 2,600 MB/s Sequential Write Up to 1,300 MB/s Random Read Random Write Power Consumption Read: 5.57W Write: 7.27W Idle: 0.5W Thickness Supported OS Windows, Mac OS, Linux MTBF (hours) 2,000,000 Accessories Bundled low-profile bracket

Enermax DigiFanless 550W

Introduction This will be the first fanless PSU unit I have reviewed. Digital PSUs are becoming more popular due to the control you have over the PSU with software and no noise. Enermax lately has been changing some things around for the better. They have been redesigning most of their products with better features, such as longer modular cables, better cable quality, and better case design. They have also made huge strides in their fan department. I know this because I have tested previous products and have seen the changes over time. Let’s see if this PSU with its unique marketing as a digital fanless PSU can make this product stand out among its major competitors. The specifications & features are as follows: Brand Name Enermax Item model number EDF550AWN Item Weight 8.1 pounds Product Dimensions 13.5 x 4.5 x 10 inches Item Dimensions L x W x H 13.5 x 4.5 x 10 inches Color Black Power Source corded-electric
