Introduction
There aren't many memory modules that run at DDR3-2000 speeds in tri-channel mode. Sitting in the upper echelon of current products, modules that can achieve these speeds are primarily for enthusiasts that demand absolute top-end performance. Typically these speeds are necessary for very high overclocking, and for those people that want the best then you must look to the top, not only in terms of product quality and performance, but also price. That is often a hindrance, but for some people, it's a necessary byproduct of trying to satisfy the cravings for speed.

Today we are looking at a set of GeIL 6GB DDR3-2000 Black Dragon memory modules that look very unique from what we normally see, sporting no fancy heatspreaders. Going with a different approach, there is a black PCB design, gold printing, and red LEDs make these Black Dragons quite refreshing in a sea of clichéd products that want us to believe that sleek metal casings can somehow justify the high price tags that accompany such things.

These modules certainly look great, but do they have the performance horsepower to match? Let's find out.

Thanks go to GeIL for supplying the review sample.

Established in 1993, GeIL has soon become one of the most professional memory module manufactures in the industry. Since then GeIL has been concentrating in memory module design and manufacturing. As of today, our manufacturing facilities employ over 200 people and produce a wide variety of modules with distribution in over 50 countries worldwide. GeIL’s Global Headquarter resides in the heart of computer technology – Taipei with branches spreading over in Hong Kong, China and U.S.A.
