Introduction
What makes a case particularly appealing with in the different demographics with regards to consumers?  Certainly there are the different aspects of the size's not to mention the functional stand points for which they will be used. Will it be used as a home server?  Perhaps house a workstation?  Will it be used as an HTPC? What about Gaming?

Then there are the aesthetic properties that need to be taken in to account. Do you like to show case your build, and have your gear all decked out in the copious, ammounts of bling or do you prefer elegance and style?  And then we can't forget the build quality. And last, but by no means least, is the price. With so many variables it's no wonder there are hundreds, of different cases available on the market to suit just about every possibility.

Thermaltake has long since been an industry leader, when it comes to having a stylish and functional case. Thermaltake has now added a new edition to their latest 'V' series of chassis. So, if you have been waiting for a new mid-tower chassis, Thermaltake just may have what your looking for.  The Thermaltake V3 Black Edition comes with or without a 450W power supply.  At a quick glance, the case looks quite striking with its all black interior/exterior, which is becoming quite a popular design spec for gaming cases.

The Thermaltake V3 PC case is geared towards the value-conscious consumer. However, affordable and practical do not always go hand-in-hand, but for Thermaltake this synergy is usually blended and what comes out is more often than not, quite good. This chassis looks like it may live up to some high expectations with its features and design, and a promise to not be hard on the wallet. Well then, let's have a closer look at the Thermaltake V3 mid tower and see how it stacks up.

Thanks to Thermaltake for supplying the review sample.

“Since the beginning of Thermaltake in 1999, it has been at the forefront of creating new and exciting products at a time where most computer users were provided little to no choices for components that may seem irrelevant, but are in reality crucial to the performance of a PC. Thermaltake Server Series solutions, with years of thermal experience and industry leadership, sets its goal on reforming total thermal management in the server segment by formulating the perfect mixture of versatility, efficiency and thermal management with each respective server product category: Rackmount Chassis, Server Fixed & Redundant Power Supply and Server CPU Cooling Management Solutions.”
