Introduction
When we last took a look at a product from Swedish company Mionix, we found their Saiph 3200 mouse was a very good effort considering it was essentially their crack at the gaming mouse market. Tackling the industry heavyweight is no small task in this market, especially for a company so new. And while we were impressed with the Saiph, it was not without its faults, but we noted we looked forward to future product releases from the Swedes.

As it turns out, the wait wasn't long, with the recent release of the Naos 5000, the new Mionix flagship gaming mouse. The peripheral gaming market is competitive and crowded, so what's to make the Naos stand out? Well Mionix claims it to be exceptionally comfortable, bore out by a rather unique ergonomic design from what we've seen. Further, lighting customizations, a weight system, and onboard memory are now standard. Well, the features and specifications for the Naos are impressive, but we've seen many products make big claims on paper, only to find they couldn't live up to the hype when put to task.

The Naos not only seeks to improve upon the Saiph but also battle the rest of the field with bold claims. If our experience with Mionix is any indication, we have very high hopes for this new mouse. Can the Naos impress or will it add to the pile of gaming peripheral wannabees? Let's find out.

Thanks to Mionix for supplying the review sample.
