Corsair is a seasoned company, but they are also newcomers to the case and chassis market, having successfully expanded their product lineup from memory-based offerings into power supplies and cooling. Venturing into case design and production appears to be Corsair's next logical step, and if history is any indication, we have hefty expectations of their first case, the Obsidian Series 800D.

As Corsair’s first tower, the 800D showcases some sleek aesthetics and extensive and unique features in a crowded marketplace that often lacks originality. Corsair may be new to the chassis business, but they've had years to watch and learn from other manufacturers’ mistakes.  It seems they have also listened to what people really want in a case, taking feedback to the drawing board, and then added their own ideas, ultimately resulting in the Obsidian Series 800D.
