The GT 240 also represents the 40nm fabrication process and the move to GDDR5 for Nvidia, promising lower power consumption, lower temperatures, and quiet operation, a very attractive combination of features in the more budget market segment. The memory chips also look to offer quite a bit of overclocking headroom, so we'll also examine that today in terms of performance increases. With the recent release of ATI's Radeon 5670, the GT 240 is in for a tough ride, but it does offer several features that ATI cards don't have.
