Introduction
Cable management. Airflow. Ease of use. Innovation. Aesthetic appeal. Quality. These are the chief characteristics for which we look when we enter the market for a new chassis. It is the combination of these qualities that determines whether or not a case will be bought, and it is the combination of these qualities that determines the price of a chassis. All of the above will result in a highly desirable case, with a price to match.

Not everyone can afford to spend several hundred dollars on a case, and this is where mid towers, LAN boxes and the like come into play. They fill in the gap between the high end and the beige box with a single 60mm fan. Because this is such a big segment of the market, it is the target of many manufacturers. With such fierce competition, more and more of these features will be improved, and prices will not skyrocket, because, for many buyers, price is a chief decider, and if a price were to shoot through the roof, the product would likely not sell as many units. Now that the introduction to economics is complete, we can get on with the review.

Xigmatek is relatively new to the chassis market, and their introductory case to the market is the Midgard, and we've got the Midgard-W (W for windowed side, presumably) for review. As a mid-tower with an aggressive price, it has a lot to answer to in such a vast sea of competitors. Can it hold up? Let's find out!

Thanks go to Xigmatek for supplying the review sample.
