Introduction
One of the most competitive areas in the do-it-yourself PC market is the chassis segment. A quick search of just one major retailer turned up 790 chassis, and surely plenty more exist that are not carried by this specific retailer. With this sort of competition, case manufacturers and designers are forced to price aggressively, increase build quality and improve design in order to sell their cases and stay in business.

In the highly competitive chassis market, a nearly perfect mid point between the three is completely necessary. Without so many chassis available, without as much competition, we could be stuck with very cheap, trashy lower end cases, and the extreme high end of cases costing as much as a car. Since everyone and their mom makes cases of every size, and plenty of features are standard, the market is left to price and innovation. The more innovative and appealing aesthetically a case is, the more likely it is to succeed, but the more expensive it may be. The opposite also applies, cheaper cases with less features may also be attractive. I know that I wouldn't be opposed to taking a dremel to a cheap case, but to an expensive one? Oh, no, sir. If I'm going to pay a premium, I expect to receive premium.

Speaking of receiving premium cases, for review, we've got the Lian Li PC-P50, a well crafted mid tower, packed with innovation and very attractive aesthetics. Let's check it out!
