Introduction
George Mallory was an English mountaineer that tackled Mount Everest back in the 1920s. His claim to fame? When asked, "Why do you want to climb Mt. Everest?" he reportedly replied, "Because it's there". Tall words at a time when few people were so bold as to even consider attempting to conquer the world's highest peak. As fate would have it, Mallory died on his quest to reach the summit, but the quest continues to this day for many people since then.

I suppose it is that quest, the pursuit of a higher goal, that pushes people further and draws them nearer to their limits. It is a pursuit that is not bound to mountaineers, but it is perhaps limited to a select few in their respective fields or circle of interest. Similarly, we often see computer enthusiasts firsthand that are driven to pursue the upper echelons of performance, and truth be told, we're performance junkies as well.

AMD's release of the 5800 series graphics cards has fueled those pursuits with jaw-dropping performance, but for those select people who are looking for something even more elite, today we’ll be looking at the ASUS Radeon EAH5870 Voltage Tweak Edition. It is a card that brings some unique features to the table, enabling enthusiasts that dream of speed to push the bar even higher than ever.

Let's take a close look at the ASUS EAH5870 and see what can result when you take a graphics monster, apply some voltage tweaks, and overclock the snot out of it without volt mods or voiding your warranty. Sound hardcore enough for you? Then read on.
