Introduction
Breaking into the mouse peripheral market isn't easy, as it's dominated by two or three large companies, industry stalwarts that have been around long enough to firmly entrench their position for office and gaming mice alike. Factor in that users tend to find a mouse they like and rarely venture into uncharted territory, seemingly content to use what they have for years, and you don't see many newcomers to the marketplace.

Cooler Master is no industry lightweight, however, and has plenty of experience with hardware components. But they haven't tackled the peripheral market until just recently. With the creation of their Storm Series gaming products, we've taken a look at several of their offerings and found them to be very well designed and constructed. Today marks the launch of their next Storm Series product, the Cooler Master Sentinel Advance, a premium gaming mouse that seeks to raise the proverbial bar for features and design alike.

While this may be Cooler Master's first foray into the highly competitive mouse market, the Sentinel Advance looks extremely attractive, and Cooler Master appears to have hit all the right notes with this rodent. The features on the Sentinel also look to include just about everything but the kitchen sink. Aesthetics may help sell a mouse, but the comfort, ergonomics, and drivers are what often make or break the deal for most diehard gamers. We'll take a very close look today at each of these factors to see if Cooler Master can run with the big dogs or is left on the porch.
