Introduction
They say "Everything old is new again." I'm not entirely sure who "they" are, but they're probably someone that got stuck with an old piece of junk. While good ideas are often "recycled" and can be transformed into new products, sometimes old is old, old is new, new is old........it gets awfully confusing, so let's just leave it at that for now.

Nvidia's die shrink of the 9800GTX resulted in something "new" from something "old": the GeForce GTS 250. It has been on the market for a litle while now, but still offers some great gaming horsepower at an affordable entry-level price, and has shown some legs against ATI's vaunted Radeon 4850. So perhaps this is one of those cases where old becomes new, and that's a good thing.

Today we're looking at the ASUS GeForce GTS 250 Dark Knight, a card that not only houses the smaller 55nm GPU, but also sports a very interesting non-stock cooler from ASUS that looks to provide even further cooling. Paired with the die shrink, the Dark Knight could post some very impressive results, both in terms of gaming performance and framerates but also cooler temperatures and a quiet fan setup. What's not to like about cool and quiet gaming prowess on the cheap?

Let's dive in and see how the Dark Knight stacks up against the competition.
