Introduction
Who doesn’t like large display monitors?  Sure we do!  Back in the day, a 17” CRT monitor made you the envy of your friends.  Along came larger CRT monitors that weighed a ton, and then the LCD monitor arrived on the scene, forever changing how we look at display monitors, literally and figuratively.   Advances in product technology and quality have made an LCD display for your computer a given these days, it’s just a question of how much you can spend and which one to get.

Widescreen monitors are finally becoming mainstream as software support has matured, consumers have realized the addtional viewspace is extremely beneficial, and prices have become very enticing to anyone considering purchasing a new LCD monitor.  Specifically, 24-inch LCD displays are becoming a new norm, increasingly occupying a great place in the market that offers large size for a good price for the most part.  Gamers are seeing the benefits of 24-inch displays, and office/graphics users find the extra screen space valuable for spreadsheets, word processing, and image processing alike.

Responding to this surge in demand for quality 24-inch LCD displays, today we look at the Samsung SyncMaster T240, a monitor that comes with a respected Samsung pedigree, making big claims at a good price point.  We’ll see if that holds true.
