Introduction
Since Intel made the big move of putting the memory controller on-die in the CPU with the Core i7 architecture, there have been a few other significant resulting effects to the PC core components as well. Gone is the the Front Side Bus (FSB) from previous architectures and this means a huge increase in bandwidth since it's not married to the FSB anymore.

This is where triple-channel memory comes in. Currently limited to X58 motherboards and Core i7 setups, tri-channel memory sets the bar for new speed standards, shedding the FSB constraints we've known for so long. Now the floodgates of tri-channel products are opened, and we're seeing many products hit the market from all major memory manufacturers. One of those companies known for offering top-end enthusiast modules is Kingston Technology. Today we're looking at a set Kingston HyperX 3GB tri-channel DDR3-2000 modules, the fastest set of memory you can find on the market, capable of eye-watering performance in the triple channel setup.

We'd like to thank our friends at Kingston Technology for supplying the review sample.

Founded in 1987 with a single product offering, Kingston® Technology now offers more than 2,000 memory products that support nearly every device that uses memory, from computers, servers and printers to MP3 players, digital cameras and cell phones.
