After a somewhat lengthy hiatus of new product releases in the world of CPU cooling, Thermaltake has recently returned with a vengeance, launching several new products. We’ll be taking a look at a few of them in the next while, but today we’ll be examining the BigTyp 14Pro, the successor to their venerated Big Typhoon cooler. It has been about three years since the Big Typhoon hit the market and made quite a splash, but much can change in this industry in three years, so the Big Typhoon began a slow decline, succumbing to the pressures of newer models and market players. It seems that Thermaltake decided to capitalize on the name and return to former glory, borrowing the “Typ” in shortform and adding the “14”, indicating the larger 14cm fan now being used here.
