Introduction

As we come close to the end of the year we see DDR2 prices drop like flies and new hardware requiring DDR3.This only tells us one thing.....Yes, finally DDR3 has become mainstream and with this mainstream status we see the prices start to become reasonable for people to buy.
Today we will be taking a good look at a beautiful piece of hardware: a Crucial Ballistix DDR3 kit. Ah don’t let its vibrant colors and sleek chrome machined borders fool you, this thing packs a punch (Of course with the help of a little PUREOC magic).

So what does Crucial bring to the table with the new reign of DDR3? Crucial Technologies......like they have been doing for the past 10 years has been answering the calls of high-end users for  high-performance memory upgrades .Not only are they answering your calls; they are helping save the planet, as all of their new memory is Lead-Free to aid in the green movement. So why don’t we get familiar with Crucial Technologies… then we’ll put this thing in the ring and see some overclocks.

Our thanks go to our friends at Crucial for supplying the review sample.

Our Crucial brand reflects our status as the only consumer memory upgrade supplier that's part of a major DRAM manufacturer. We sell high-quality memory that has been qualified and approved by most major OEMs. The Crucial.com website features innovative online tools and an intuitive design that makes it easy to find compatible memory and recommended upgrades.

Now let's jump and take a look at these sticks!
