FSP Group are a well respected power supply brand known for stable and reliable units at good prices. FSP manufacture units for both the OEM and retails sectors and this unit is squarely aimed at the latter. This review sample is there top end 700W model from the Epsilon range.

Looking at the specifications you can see this is a quad rail +12V design with each rail capable of 15 Amps. Remember, components are shared throughout each rail therefore though each individual rail can handle a 15 Amp load, its more than likely the unit cannot actually handle 15 amps on all four rails at the same time, and you can see proof of this as the maximum +12V load is 600W (50A), much lower than the combined 60 Amps. This is normal, even the best power supply's behave this way.
Voltage regulation is absolutely standard here, with ±5% where it counts. This is right on the money for the ATX 2.2 specification. Efficiency is claimed as 85%, which is very good indeed if true.
The fan is a 120mm model rated at 45db at 12V, but does use a temperature control circuit to keep noise to a minimum.
Finally, you get a two year warranty, which is good, but many others do offer three years.

The 700W Epsilon comes with all the connectors you'd expect to find on a quality power supply, including support for the EPS 8-pin connector that's quite popular on Intel motherboards.
The FSP 700W Epsilon is finished in a metallic blue with a down facing 120mm fan sucking in cool air and exhausting out the back through a honeycomb grill. The 120mm fan is a Protechnic MGA12012HB-025 but i couldn't find any details on it. In use it's not too bad, it's not a quiet power supply but it's certainly easy to get a long with. All the cable are braided with a black plastic mesh and the quality is reasonable but there are large gaps between each connector which is a shame. It seems the only manufacturer who braids there leads perfectly is PC Power & Cooling.
Under the hood we find a nice and neat layout with a small heatsink and oodles of space. All the major components are big and chunky and of high quality, like the two yellow transformer in the middle.
On first impression this unit looks like it has all the ingredients of a high quality unit worthy of FSP's reputation.
