The card sits on a redesigned PCB, not a standard reference PCB. The cooler is the same but is mirrored horizontally instead.

Above is the Gainward design while below is an image of a reference 6800GS. You should immediately notice that all the capacitors are in different positions and are of higher quality. The memory is aligned differently, too.

A word synonymous with Gainward is reliability. The redesigned PCB adds more capacitors and better quality parts. It’s good to see Gainward going back to there roots.

As mentioned the cooler is the same as on a reference board, though the curved part of the cooler would normally be at the top, not bottom.

Samsung 1.4ns chips are what make this card so special.
