Ten years ago the “do-it-yourself” water cooling system was only a topic of discussion amongst PC enthusiasts. But then is then and now is now. Today PC water cooling has grown rapidly into the mainstream market, and several user-friendly kits are now available, featuring affordability in a more maintenance-free setup.

When we speak of a DIY water cooling setup most people are deterred by its complexity and the specialized knowledge required to pick the proper components, not to mention leakage worries and maintenance issues. But to alleviate those concerns, companies such as XSPC now offer a hybrid product of sorts: the mainstream DIY kit that looks to bring the ease of self-contained setups with the performance improvments of the traditional enthusiast DIY setup.

Specifically we are looking at the XSPC 750 RS40, an all-in-one performance DIY water cooling kit that offers quality components to the mainstream market for users that want the benefits of a simplified setup but don’t want to compromise performance.

"XSPC released our first product the R120 radiator in 2004, the following year we released our X2O CPU Waterblock, Pump and Watercooling kit. Since then we have released many award winning products covering all components of watercooling systems, most recently our RX360 full cover GPU waterblocks. All our products are designed for the PC enthusiast market where they are used by gamers and PC modders. Over the past year our products have been proved very popular with boutique PC manufactures and in specialist areas like recording studio PC’s. We are constantly revising our products to improve performance."
