Summary

The XSPC D5 Dual Bay reservoir isn’t about the fancy LCD temperature display or the multi-port or pump compatibility. It is all about the value and functionality. The current retail price is sitting under $55.00, that’s $30 cheaper than Alphacool Repack and $75 lesser than the Danger Dan Monsoon Premium reservoir.

Despite the missing User Guide, no marker for the inlet and the outlet port, and the flaw in the reservoir-top, the XSPC D5 Dual Bay reservoir is still a good water cooling gadget. It does its job to contain the coolant and improve the tubing cluster rather well in fact. We feel the included LED is less effective than it could be, because most coolants today are UV-reactive. It would be nice if another UV LED was also included.

But, at the end of the day, the D5 Dual Bay Reservoir does a good job as designed without breaking the bank, which might make your accountant or wife happy. We give it a PureOverclock Good Hardware Award.
