Summary

Aesthetically speaking, Xigmatek did a great job as all of these fans have great appeal. From the smoked housing and multiple color options on the fan blades, right down to the white LED, the extra bling factor make these fans something noticeable. The wavy fan blade design has proven to push a ton of air, and at the same time, help bring down the noise level. We were also impressed with the extra feature of the 140mm models, the XAF -F1456 and F1454. Xigmatek did a great job with the mounting solution, by offering the ability to mount a 140mm fan into either a 120mm or 140mm location. These fans providing 90CFM of airflow we thought was a spectaculr win-win.

Thermal performance on all 4 models was great, especially in comparison to the stock Corsair fan. If you are looking for fans that are good performing as well as aesthetically pleasing, the Xigmatek’s XAF-F1253, XAF-F1251, XAF-F1456, and XAF-F1454 are great choices and easily get our Good Hardware award.

One final item to note is that the Xigmatek XAF-F1253 & XAF-F1251 are found on Newegg for $14.99 and the XAF-F1456 & XAF-F1454 for $23.99, this is a bit on the pricey side, which is why they didn’t quite garner our Editor’s Choice Award. Still, they are worth the price for their excellent performance in our opinion.

Do you think these fans would be good to use with the H100?

The 120mm models will not have a problem, however the 140mm models you may run into fitment problems, You will run into problems as they won’t fit side by side on the H100.

They provide good airflow CFM wise, However if you plan on using 4 of them at full speeds you may pick up a little more noise, but you can use the fan controller on the H100 to turn them down if needed.
