S.T.A.L.K.E.R: Call of Pripyat

S.T.A.L.K.E.R: Call of Pripyat is the sequel to Shadow of Chernobyl by developer GSC Game World. Featuring an updated X-ray 1.6 engine, advancements include volumetric light, smoke, dynamic wet surfaces, changing weather and realistic day-to-night cycles. When Enhanced Full Dynamic lighting is employed, the sky effects are stunning but can be very taxing on a card, especially when antialiasing is turned up.

It seems Pripyat doesn’t benefit the AMD much cards at all, though we see the 1GB of GDDR5 does start to show a bit of weakness when moving up to 1920 resolution, though it’s not much. The X-ray engine is pretty tough on cards, but the XXX card manages to pull out very playable framerates.
