VisionTek Ultimate 16GB DDR3-1866
Introduction
In a very competitive market, new memory manufacturers are very rare especially with names like GSkill, Kingston, Patriot, GeiL and Corsair. Six months ago, VisionTek took on an ambitious task of trying to tap into this arena. The first introduction of their Ultimate Performance Memory Modules went very smoothly and we were very impressed with the performance and ability.
The mission continues with every manufacturer still trying to capture market share, even with today’s flat market in the desktop sector. Business conditions even forced Intel to push back Ivy Bridge due to the overstock position of OEM manufacturers and retailers of the previous generation, Sandybridge processors. This delay makes Intel’s i7 3820 very attractive at a sub $300 pricing coupled with the X79 platform, which features quad channel memory. Today, VisionTek presents their new Ultimate Performance 16GB 1866MHz CL10 Quad Channel Memory Kit, and we have them in our lab for testing.
