The VisionTek CandyBoard is simply a great device, it has all the functionality of a full-sized keyboard plus all of the robust controls needed to operate within the Windows Media Center environment in Windows 7, not to mention all of the other platforms it can be used on. It has a very appealing aesthetic that will blend in to your home theater setup without skipping a beat, after all it is the size a remote control. The only downside I found is the lack of a Stop button on the media center keys.
At about the $90 US price range, it is on the expensive side for a keyboard, especially for one that is so small and designed for one purpose really. But on the other hand, it was built for a specific purpose in a niche market segment, so it’s not surprising that there’s a price premium here. That being said, the CandyBoard isn’t "just" a keyboard, and does offer a great range of features, portability, and convenience, so I do think the price is justified when considering the versatility here. If you have an HTPC and are using a mouse and keyboard to run it, the VisionTek CandyBoard is more than capable of better filling most users needs. The CandyBoard is indeed very small, but it packs quite a punch.
