Overview

Hardware:

Manufacturer:

Release Date: Currently Available

Price at time of Review: $69.99 USD @ Amazon.com (Tt eSPORTS)

WHAT WE LIKED:

Metal creates cool feel, dampens switch sounds, diverse compatibility, covers all primary keys, switches become easier to depress

WHAT WE DISLIKED:

Very pricey modification, not currently an option for your num-pad or other keys to have caps

BOTTOM LINE:
If you want a "tactfully opulent" upgrade for your mechanical keyboard, look no further than the Tt eSPORTS Metalkeys 38 piece set.

Thermaltake packages the keys in a thick foam sleeve, leaving space for each key to have its own little nook. Also included in the box is a plastic keycap puller to make it easier to get those old, dull, and possible heavily worn keys off of your keyboard.

A close-up of the caps shows us some of the finer details on the keys. They are made of an alloy of Zinc and have a highly polished finish, which is all part of the UV coating applied to all of the caps. This is meant to ensure the lettering and finish on the caps (along with each cap being anodized) stays the same throughout their lifetime. When flipped over there’s not much to see other than the stand-off that fixes this cap to the switch it will adorn.

Enough leering at them though… let’s get these onto some keyboards and see how they look and feel!
